Over the centuries, the river has made its way through the valley, leaving behind a landscape where nature still feels wonderfully free. This round trip starts and ends at <strong>Kikmolen campsite (junction 61)<\/strong> and follows the river's story: vast skies, sun-drenched paths and long bike rides along open banks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Maas Valley <\/strong>is known as one of the driest and sunniest corners of western Europe, and the landscape reflects that. Gravel and gravel soils provide a special character, perfect for hardy herbs, wildflowers and even <strong>vineyards<\/strong>. Along the way, you will pass places where you will not only see but also taste the Maasland: stop at a winery, find a sunny terrace and enjoy local flavours shaped by this unique terroir by the river.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A ferry crossing adds a bit of adventure as you sail to the Dutch side and back again, simple, charming and very \u2018Maasvallei\u2019.
